Our cozy accommodations allow more time with your friends, and our home-cooked meals are one of the best parts of the trip! We offer a four-day, five-night FOUR STAR snowmobile tour to James Bay that caters to intermediate and experienced riders.

Day 1 (Night One)

Arrival in Cochrane

You'll arrive in Cochrane and check into your hotel room. Our tour group meets for dinner at a local restaurant where you'll meet your guide and fellow riders. This is your chance to get to know the group and discuss the adventure ahead.

Day 2 (Day Ride)

Cochrane to Moosonee - The Epic Journey North

Ride the legendary OFSC Abitibi Canyon trail to the Historic Fraserdale Hydroelectric Dam. Meet up with your guide for refueling and a warm trailside lunch with beverages. Then embark on the 250km off-trail portion - whatever mother nature throws at us! Fast or slow, it all depends on conditions. 400km later, you'll be ripping down the MASSIVE Moose River into Moosonee.

  • Morning departure from Cochrane

Day 2 (Night)

Moosonee - Relax and Celebrate

Arrive at our accommodations - a fully furnished, clean and modern home rented for two nights. All agreed-upon snacks, beverages, and meals await! Tonight we relax and let loose. Lasagna and pasta dinner prepared for you to eat at your leisure. This is your night to enjoy a few extra drinks and stay up late with new friends!

Day 3 (Morning)

Relaxing Morning in Moosonee

Sleep in and rest up! Wake early if you want to visit the town. Fresh Ethiopian Arabica coffee ready to brew. Free time in the morning - but be back for brunch! Around 11am, cooks arrive to prepare the big breakfast: bacon, eggs, home fries, waffles, French toast, pancakes with maple syrup - whatever we've planned!

Day 3 (Afternoon)

James Bay - The Ultimate Destination!

Around 2PM, ride out through the Moose River Delta, into the tundra, onto James Bay! If conditions, weather, and ocean tides allow, ride way out toward the edge of the Ocean Waters. Witness the humbling power of nature and massive ice piles formed where Arctic salt water tides meet the freshwater Arctic watershed. Looking north from here, the next shoreline is over 2000km away through Hudson's Bay to the Arctic waters of Igloolik!

  • 2PM departure for James Bay
  • Ride through the incredible Moose River Delta
  • Experience tundra and ocean ice

  • Photo opportunities at the Arctic Ocean
  • Return to Moosonee by 6PM
Day 3 (Night)

Steak Dinner Night!

Return from James Bay around 6PM, refuel sleds, and head back to the house where cooks are waiting. This is STEAK DINNER NIGHT! Inch-thick custom-cut rib eye steaks on the BBQ, roasted potatoes, corn, French-style green beans, and cheesy broccoli. The perfect celebration of reaching James Bay!

Day 4 (Morning & Return)

Journey Back to Cochrane

Wake by 8am. Cooks arrive at 7am to prepare breakfast: custom-cooked eggs, bacon, sausage, and leftovers from yesterday. Around 9am, begin the journey back to Cochrane. 250km later (around 1PM), arrive at Abitibi Canyon where hot soup, sausage on a bun, and fuel await. Back in Cochrane by 7PM.

  • 7am - Cooks prepare full breakfast
  • 9am - Depart Moosonee
  • 250km return journey
  • 1pm - Lunch and fuel at Abitibi Canyon
  • 7pm - Arrive Cochrane
  • 8pm - Group pizza or restaurant dinner
Day 4 (Night) & Day 5

Farewell

Exhausted but exhilarated! Meet at 8PM for supper (pizza or restaurant - group decision, your expense). Time to say goodbye to new friends and exchange contact info. Day 5: Everyone drives home with incredible memories!
